This picture reminds me that we can generally handle more than we think we can. We feel fragile, but when we are tested, we discover that we're tougher than we thought, like a rusted old car that takes on dents without flinching. Before the accident two years ago, I lived in fear of bad things, like wrecks, broken bones or sickness happening. I am squeamish. Now I know that if something doesn't kill me, I can roll on through. I might take on a few more dings, but I've always been a bit dingy anyhow, so what's the diff?
