At one point some bikers approached us from behind calling out, "to your left." I started to say move right, but before I could get the words out, my oldest sister spotted the bikers out of the corner of her eye and started darting right then left in a serpentine fashion, screaming at the top of her lungs fearing she was about to get run down. She is from Amish country near Lancaster, PA. Apparently they don't get many bikers around those parts. She didn't know if she was supposed to swerve left or away from the left and then she all out panicked thinking the bikers were about to flatten her like a pancake. Sister A's screaming sent sister B into her own panic, as she thought we must be about to be killed by an airplane falling out of the sky or some similar catastrophy. Both sisters were frantically screaming and ducking and diving like soldiers under fire all because a couple of bikers were innocently passing by.
After our exciting walk, we went to the Cottonwood Arts Festival. Lovely art, interesting people and lots of cute dogs. Then burgers, whiskey sours and a game of Settlers of Catan. Perfect day. Tomorrow we hit the Sixth Floor Museum.
That walk was like a scene from a comedy movie- hilarious- i might have been all bundled up but i was nice and cozy warm
