It occurs to me that people often go through life never knowing how much they matter, never hearing the words to tell them how awesome they are, nor owning the right to claim those words for themselves. This is for those people, the good folks leading quiet unassuming lives.

There is not now, nor was there ever, nor will there ever be anyone else in all of the world with your exact skills. Nobody else sees the world quite like you do. Nobody else can contribute precisely what you can. Though you go quietly about your work, often with few words of appreciation for your bright lights and your excellent ways, please know that you matter. Yes, you. You matter greatly. So, keep shining. Keep doing. Keep trying. This old planet would not be the same without you.
